Seven weeks has passed since the release of castanea. Time to tell a bit more about it. In English today.

Castanea is the botanic name of Kastanien, which means chestnuts in English.

The lyrics of Kastanien: “Gebe mich den Träumen und Visionen hin, vergess das graue Leben” – the translation into English: “dedicate myself to dreams and visions, forget the gray life”.

But why the song is called “Kastanien”? The song is not about chestnuts. When I has finished this song I did not had a name for it. My 5 years old doughter (again) has listen the song and asked me “hä, Kastanien, he is singing Kastanien?”.  You can hear something that really is not there! OK, thats the name of the song! In the meantime some other listeners has just noted this (except myself).

Since releasing the album it’s placed in the top 1000 of jamendos “Streams of the week”. Best place has been number 137 on week after release. In the first week the album was Number 23 of the most popular albums of the week (category) and keeps 4 weeks into the Top100. Thats great (and because it’s a short album). Thank you to all listeners and at most to all reviewers!!!
